Most recently, Global Compass has been involved with grief recovery for middle school-aged children utilizing talk therapy, art therapy, music therapy, and play therapy for behavior modification.
Global Compass also offered translation services and advocacy for an International who has experienced a form of commercial trafficking. In another situation, a potential client requests compassionate and culturally competent support for a domestic abuse scenario.
We are in the process of creating a 501(c)3 tax-deductible, charitable foundation to provide increased pro bono support services to anyone, regardless of his/her ability to pay. Any person who calls is directed to resources and is offered emotional support. It is essential that any person who asks for help can receive direction. Global Compass strives to provide services to anyone who requests assistance as an act of justice and mercy. If you are interested in participating in any way, please contact shanta"at"global-compass.org.
Global Compass will also be shifting some of its focus toward wellness coaching. By March 2011, additional resources about stress management, nutritional healing, and holistic practices will be included on this site.
A goal for 2011 is to create a Board of Directors that can provide oversight for visionary leadership. Recommendations are welcome!
